Wireless

Although some modern Linux distibutions include support for the IPW2200BG wireless card, I found it best to download the driver from SourceForge.

I experienced a lot of problems with the newer versions (up to 1.0.3) of the driver, so I'm still using the 1.0.0 version. It works good enough for me, and it quite stable.
I'm going to try 1.0.4 one of these days.

Update: 1.0.4 also gives me frequent "Firmware error ... Restarting" errors, up to the point of the network connection being totally unusable.

Building and installing the driver from SourceForge is straightforward. IMPORTANT: Check if your distibution did provide a ipw2200 driver, and make sure you are using the right one!
